Dear Families,
Hope you are having a wonderful summer! We are preparing for next school year and hope your family is excited. We are about midway through the summer break and our teachers return on August 15th to start getting their classrooms ready.
Please mark your calendars for upcoming important date:
Enrollment: All emails regarding enrollment status will come from
[email protected]. All families need to have confirmation of complete enrollment prior to the first day of school including proof of residency. Please check your email today for confirmation of your child’s enrollment status. Please feel free to stop by the Main office Monday - Friday, 9am- 2pm if you need help completing enrollment or have questions. Please also free free to email Ms. Bell, [email protected], with any questions.
Welcome to our Family Engagement Chairs, Cerissa Brown and Ashley Knight. They will be planning events to engage our families in the school community and surveying families to make sure we are meeting the needs of our community.
Cell Phone Updates: All students must turn in their mobile devices immediately after entering the building. These devices will be held in a secure location. Mobile devices will be returned to students before dismissal. Parents who wish to contact students during the school day should call the front desk (for immediate needs) and/or reach out to teachers via ClassDojo.
Uniforms: All students are strongly encouraged to wear a Perry Street Prep T shirt each school day. They are available for sale for $5 in the Main Office, Monday - Friday, 9am - 2pm. T-shirts can also be purchased at Open House or any regular school day. We ask that students wear shoes appropriate to run and play outside each day and any shorts, skirts, or pants without rips or holes are acceptable. Many families opt to have their students wear khaki bottoms.
Before and After Care: We plan to continue our partnerships with MOMIES TLC and YMCA this school year for families who need comprehensive childcare beyond 3:30 each day. Additionally, we will offer free clubs and activities each day of the week for different grade levels to include sports, art, drama, girl scouts, mentorship and more. The amount of clubs available will be dependent on the grant funding that the school has applied for. Questions should be directed to [email protected]
