School Re Opening Update - July 16, 2020
On July 16th, Mayor Bowser announced that the decision to re-open schools for in-person learning in DC has been delayed until July 31st to take into account up-to-date health data. At this point, Perry Street Prep PCS will continue to align with the Mayor’s timeline for reopening decision-making to ensure we are best informed.
In addition to DC’s guidance, please know that PSP will also be reviewing health data, scientific safety guidance, and the input of families and staff to inform our own decision for a safe solution for our staff and students as we approach the start of SY20-21.
At this time, we are continuing to plan for both virtual and in person learning options, confirming our family preferences (www.pspdc.org/learn/) , and preparing our building to ensure we are best prepared regardless of the start of school decision for instruction delivery. (Please note that regardless of in-person options, all families will continue to have the option to learn exclusively online for the first quarter if they choose.)
If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process please contact Ms. Bell, [email protected] (K - 8th) and Ms. Carr, [email protected] (PK3-PK4).
